• Dialysis Access/ESRD Services

  From surgical creation of dialysis access to minimally invasive procedures to help maintain a healthy access, our expert staff aim to navigate you through your journey as we work closely with your nephrologists/dialysis centers.

• Dialysis Access Placement/Surgery

  Once your nephrologist has determined that you will need to begin dialysis you may be referred to our practice where we will then assist you throughout this journey. You will meet our surgeon who will discuss peritoneal dialysis or hemodialysis, the surgical options and the overall plan for you. We consider it our duty to you and your loved ones through the initiation of dialysis, maintenance of your access, interventions or any issues that arise with your access. Ultimately, we hope our patients are candidates for, and undergo, successful kidney transplantation.

• Peripheral Arterial Disease(PAD)/Peripheral Vascular Diseases (PVD)

  Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) is a circulation disorder that affect blood vessels outside the heart and brain. PVD that develops only in the arteries is called Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). PAD develops most commonly as a result of atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries, which occurs when cholesterol and scar tissue build up, forming a substance called plaque inside the arteries. This is a very serious condition. The clogged arteries cause decreased blood flow to the arms, or more commonly, the legs. This can result in pain when walking and eventually gangrene and/or amputation.

• Prostate Artery Embolization (PAE)

  Enlarged prostate (BPH) affects a large percentage of men over the age of 65. We offer an innovative, outpatient procedure to treat this condition. WHAT IS THE PROSTATE? The prostate is an accessory organ of the male reproductive system. Its function is to produce fluid that helps preserve sperm after ejaculation. It is located below the bladder and is normally the size of a walnut. Urine travels from the bladder through the urethra before passing through the penis. Because the prostate surrounds the urethra, urination can be affected when the prostate is enlarged. WHAT IS BENIGN PROSTATE HYPERPLASIA (BPH)? Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) is the most common disease of the prostate and can cause debilitating symptoms, impacting a patient’s quality of life. It affects 70% of men over 65 years of age, 80% of those aged between 70 and 80, and 90% of men over 80. BPH is a benign, non-cancerous, increase of prostate tissue growth, causing obstruction of the lower urinary tract. Some patients do not have any symptoms of BPH.
